The next time you walk through our door, you’ll find that our atelier has been transformed into a gallery of modern design objects. It reflects our signature design aesthetic and discerning taste. We hope to show a fresh context (and some beautiful flowers) in a world too full of common things.

Our new gallery format showcases selected pieces unified by a theme. Every three months, we take it all apart and bring you something totally different. Our goal is to show you pieces of common and uncommon design in ways that allow you to look at them differently. The story is no longer just about flowers, though flowers are in our blood. We will continue to take phone orders and special events, and flowers will always be highlighted in our gallery displays.

The floral sculptures, bouquets, and arrangements that have been striking people’s fancy since 2001 reflect our rich and varied background in the arts. Cate Kellison, who owns Rose and Radish, has a degree in Fine Art from Mills College, where she focused on sculpture, photography and mixed media installation. Store manager Jill Pilotte is an illustrator who prefers art to feel uncooked. All of our designers have backgrounds in assemblage, illustration, painting, photography, and graphic design. Together with our involvement in the Bay Area arts scene, these skills have made Rose and Radish a great success with San Francisco galleries, arts organizations, and clients with a keen eye for design. Word-of-mouth and personal referral have kept us busy year-round.

Those who have visited before will recognize the space here at 460 Gough Street. High ceilings, poured concrete flooring, stainless steel detailing, and a floating mezzanine hem the gallery. But now we have turned our focus to present design in ways you haven’t seen before. We have composed spacious, sense-provoking displays of foreign and domestic design objects- some to adorn your tabletop, some to light your way, and some simply because you won’t want to live without them.

We believe elegant can be hip. And we believe that everything in our homes can fit together in more than one way. We have had great success with our flowers and design over the past few years. Many of our clients asked to see more, and now they will.

Piles of stuff don’t inspire us. We’ll bring it all together, and keep it modern, sophisticated, and hip. You’ll love our flowers, too.

Come by and take a look.
